Howdy--NUG here (new useless gal).
Has anyone tried a product like Virastop or other anti-virals for FM? Just curious. If you have, please let me know how it went. I'm at siege571@cs.com. Thanks. A little about me ...
THANK YOU PARVOVIRUS (AKA FIFTH DISEASE)!
Have had FM for about 2.5 years after a bout with human parvovirus (there was an outbreak of Fifth Disease at my son's school). It really kicked my behind and seemed to throw my immune system for a loop. Thyroid levels (T4), ANA's were up and down (they seem to be stable now), but I spent all of last year with shortness of breath, chest pain, and coughing up green and pink stuff (it got a lot better after a couple rounds of antibiotics, but the chest pain is returning).
IT'S A MIRACLE I'M SANE....
I'm feel fortunate in that I have additional "validation" of the FM diagnosis--I have had 3 sleep studies that show I get absolutely ZERO stage 4 sleep and very little stage 3. Had to use a CPAP machine for a while due to some sort of tracheal? pharyngeal? edema that disappeared suddenly (even with the breathing "corrected" by CPAP, I still had no stage 3/4 sleep).
See my next post on parvovirus and how to rule it out as the cause of your FM...
Hang in there... _________________ CJ
