I was diagnosed last Fall with Fibromyalgia and I have suffered Restless Leg Syndrome on and off for 11 years now. It mostly occurred during pregnancy and postpartum with a few incidents between. It is way too long to get into but I have had a hysterectomy due to a few diff reasons (It was done in 3 diff stages). I have had laps to get preg. I had a lap chole for infected gallbladder. I have had an ERCP for SOD, I have crohns disease, My liver enzymes are up now and no one knows why. I have a seizure disorder, migraines (during a few migraine attacks it has led to seizures). My most recent surgery was for a submandibular tumor (I had endless complications after that surgery 11/04). I have suffered so many weird problems from pneumo thorax with no known cause, my enzyme prob, I am allergic to almost all anti nausea meds (except Zofran) which led to shock. My Neurolgist, when he found out these probs, asked me if anyone has ever tried to connect the dots so to speak, to see if all of this could be related? I live in Central NY so the weather seems to really affect my Fibro and now this RLS has had me awake all night for 4 nights now. I am desparate for answers and none of my docs will touch me let alone give me an Rx to try because of my past reactions. My neuro doc is on vacation for the next few weeks and I have been told my all of my docs that if he isn't avail to just go to the ED to consult with his on call doc. I don't want to do that but I can't get thru another sleepless night. I have 3 beautiful girls who need me and a husband who has to pick up the slack when I don't feel well. He is totally healthy so I can't say that he really understands. He doesn't say much unless I am in the hospital and then everything falls apart. I need answers to save my family. _________________ Christina |

Hi Christina
I would highly suggest that you try to find a good natuorpathic doctor to help you "connect the dots." Naturopaths believe in treating the whole body and not just treating they symptoms, but try to get to the root/cause of the health concern.
Do an internet search on "naturopaths" and you will find several sites that list them by state.
Good luck.
