My 23 year old girlfriend was recently diagnosed with fibro. She has been struggling with the pain and not sleeping but what has made her most miserable is the sensitivity to heat. We both live in Wisconsin so it hasn't been hot until recently and anything over 60 makes her over heat. She works in a paint shop and can't have a fan so she ends up leaving work early on hot days because she is absolutely worn out by noon. Does anyone else have this problem? How have they relieved the heat? I was thinking about getting her a cooling vest but I'm not sure about adding 3lbs to her. I know shes not ready to give up and go on disability but what else can she do? Her doctor doesn't know what to do for the heat and her work is not being accommodating at all. Please help! We are desperate.
