Hello. I just joined to. Trying to find out what other people are dealing with and if it sounds like me. Everything I find online sounds like what I'm going through. The doctor says that I "fit" the symptoms so far, but going to the rheumotologist next month. Are you on any perscriptions and does it work?

Thanks for your reply. I do too wish you luck in your search for answers. Does the medicine work for you or does it help at all? I have days when I feel almost fine and then days when I'm thinking "what the heck is wrong with me"? I ache all over and my muscles are extremely exhausted what appears to be for no reason at all. Do this happen to you too?

Yes, exactly! On my good days I try to get some excercise (because I feel I'm really starting to get out of shape now.. :-( I feel great at first and think, "maybe I'm all better" and then within two hours I'm in pain again and can't sleep. I get this aching.. I guess it's like restless leg syndrome feeling.. and usually lasts a few days. Some days I feel like I'm fine and then for example.. I'll be looking through my closet for clothes and my arms feel EXHAUSTED just by searching through for a shirt. It doesn't seem to make any sense. Glad to know I'm not alone.
Does it seem to get better or worse over time? It's been about a year and a half for me. I was in a horrific car accident. The doctor says my bones are healed, but the all over aching pain has never gone away. That's when I realized that there is something else going on. Really looking forward to my rheumatologist appointment so I can get diagnosed and try some meds or at least know I'm not crazy...

Hi Hannah,
I'm so glad to talk to you. I feel a little better. I really would like to start having children next year, but I'm so afraid that I'll feel completely wiped out and have worse pain. I guess each individual is different, but I'm glad to here that you felt even better during your pregnancy. Although, as I imagine you cannot take any medication.. I'm hoping I will be able to endure the fibro for 9 months..
Anyway, you're appointment is coming up. Good luck- hope they find something that works better for you. i can't get in until Dec 8th, but she's supposed to be a specialist in this.. so keeping my fingers crossed.
:-)

I'm not sure what meds you can take while prego as far as pain killers but i only needed tylenol and that was all i needed . I wish you have a great preg. no matter what the pain you go thru there is nothing better than holding a beautiful baby . up until this past year i really never depended on pain meds like i said this year is completely different i dont leave home without them lol. my hubby keeps joking you turn 30 and everything falls apart. i tell him cant wait for forty than. really now if you have any question i willl be glad to help in any way i really enjoy talkung with you to . by the way did you check out fibro talk . com

So glad you had a good experience with your pregnancy. Tylenol usually does nothing for me, but even if I need to be laying on the couch most days at the end of the pregnancy, I can handle that. (Can't be any worse than when I was recovering from my car accident, so I'm sure it'll be worth it!)
I hear ya! I just turned 31 and things are definitely started "to move" lol, that's probably why I'm so frustrated that I haven't had much luck with working out like I used to. The last few days I've been taking walks during my lunch break and so far this week has been a pretty good week. :) So, I'm going to try and keep up with that. It seems to be a trial and error process.
Sorry that things have gotten worse lately. I hope this is not a condition that will continously get worse... Maybe all the more reason to have a child now while I'm still "okay".
Yes, I checked out the fibrotalk website and I will probably join that one too. Thanks for the info. It is helpful to connect.
Well, hope to hear your results from the doctor. If I don't hear from you I'll let you know how my appointment goes next month.
Ciao!

Yes, I agree. I thought it was directly related to the weather, but then we'd have storms here some days and I'd feel fine.. then it would be sunny and I'd have pain... so it definitely might have something to do with it, but I haven't found the correlation yet. I enjoy talking to you too. Thanks for answering questions. I'm sure I'll have more. I'm located in the Tampa Bay area in FL. You?
