I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia over a month ago. I was in a car accident six months ago and that is how I got it. I have been having a problem with my insurance company paying for my treatment. Thank God I found an attorney that can help me. Has anyone else got this from a car accident? I am trying to find a massage therapist that deals with Fibromyalgia but I'm not having any luck. I live near Spokane Washington so if anyone knows of one I would really appreciate it if you could let me know. Thank you so much and God Bless You!

Hi. I am also new to the board, and pretty new to fibromyalgia as well. I wanted to reply because I was in a car accident in 2002 and my pain started within a few months after that. It didn't get really severe until about 8 months ago. Just last month is when I was diagnosed "officially". I am on an anit depressant, a non narcotic pain med, and IBU. My doctor has repeatedly emphasized the importance of exercise so I am puchasing an elliptical trainer. They are supposed to be low impact which is pretty important with our pain! By the way, I also spoke to a woman that lives in a town nearby who has had fibro since '94. She was in a car accident in '92 and her pain started then, it took until '94 for her to be diagnosed.
Anyway, I hope this is of some help.
