| I also find that when my symptoms are bad, intercourse tends to make me sore. I generally try to avoid it on these days. If anyone has a better solution--please, let us hear it! |

| A rewarding sex life is yet another casualty for many fibromyalgia sufferers. Aside from supplements and therapies that tend to help the overall symptoms of fibro, there does not appear to be a single solution for the sex problem. The key is to develop strategies that allow for sexual intercourse while working on the overall syndrome. The primary tool that most experts agree on in this regard is communication. It is very important to keep an open line of communication so that your partner understands the underlying issues and can help to find a way that allows both of you to have a rewarding intimate relationship. This includes open discussion of you mood and energy levels, creating a comfortable setting, and allowing for some of the particular physical limitations that you may have. |
