| Unfortunately, because Fibromyalgia is considered a diagnosis of exclusion, it can take a long time to come up with a diagnosis. The positive side is that once you have been diagnosed you become part of a community of sympathetic people that can offer support, hope, and hopefully, some productive ways to manage your life. Regarding pain, the products NutraCool™ can be very effective topically to help maintain normal pain levels and Oregano Oil Rx can be taken internally following the directions on the label. A few drops of this oil can even be added to the NutraCool™; be cautious as this is a potent product and too much can get a little warm. There are many other products that can be useful as well. The new product, Fibro Balance, is showing a lot of promise in helping to manage many off the issues that FM sufferers live with. Regarding the support group, I don’t know of any in your particular area, but maybe some fellow forum contributors can offer some suggestions. |

Fibro is the pitts. I have been diagnosed for about 5 years. I have episodes where I do well, and then I have a real bad flair up. Which I am currently having. My Dr currently has me taking Ambien for sleep and Cymbalta for depression which I am not sure I really need. I want to try some of the natural products, but am afraid they won't work either. I do know when I am sleeping well, the fibro symptons are generally better. So, I would suggest taking something to help you sleep, even if it is something like Tylenol PM. Hang in there. I feel your pain. _________________ Hugs,

Hi To all,
I have just registered and am from the UK. I just wanted to share my experiences with you as i am almost recovered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome after 1 and a half years of symptoms. I don't think it was fibromyalgia that I had as I only suffered neck pain that was sometimes excrutiating but I put this down to muscle tension as this went after a good nights sleep. I went down the usual route of being prescribed anti depressants by the doctor, but I wanted more than that. I wanted to know why all these symptoms were happening to me and in my heart I knew I would find the answers.I had all the classic symptoms, persistant insomnia, felt very angry because of sleep deprivation, irritable, I became scared of certain situations like being on a plane, constipation and IBS, palpataions, complete loss of sex drive. I withdrew socially as I couldn't enjoy myself totally as before. In a word my life was crap and I considered ending it many times. I must have been a night mare to my boyfriend. I seen a homeopath that was no help (I think it was just this particular one). All my lab tests appeared normal and even my boyfriend thought it was all in my head. Now I have those good to be alive moments and am free of my depression which to me was the worst symptom. I had my blood tested for heavy metals and it was found that i had more than 3 times the amount of copper, mercury and arsenic in my system. So I began treatment to remove these metals. It was found in a dark field analysis of the blood that there was a fungal overload too. A doc told me that these fungus grow in the body in abundance when there is heavy metals and they are actually protective. So first rid the metals then the fungus. Along with acupuncture and homepathic remedies , and amalgam removal I am on the road to wellness again. I am happy that I persisted in my search for help. My family thought I was mad the amount of time I spent on the internet but without it I wouldn't know anything. I definately think a chinese medicine style approach could hep alot of people. I now want to help people with similar situation to mine. I intend to study chinese medicine in the future as it seems so different to our western way of thinking. i hope that all those people with these illnesses will keep hope and get well x |
