Looking for relief for parathesis / tingling and pain

Postby shelly on Wed Jun 07, 2006 1:36 pm

While I have yet to be diagnosed with either MS or fibromyalgia, I am having a really tough time dealing with the electrical sensations or tingling pain I have been experiencing in my feet, hands, arms and head. This has been happening for over 6 weeks. I have had numerous MRI's during the first week that I started experiencing these symptoms and to date have not been diagnosed with MS. Upon researching on the internet I do see like symptoms reported by this disease (fibromyalgia).

I am trying to find a doctor who can diagnosis this disease or perhaps rule it out. I am at wits end in trying to deal with this on a daily basis and feel a total lack of control as I cant seem to get help, I have no idea what this is (nor do doctors) and cant stand living like this on a day to day basis. If anyone has any suggestions or feedback it would be greatly appreciated. I have tried muscle relaxers and pain killers and magnetic bracelets and nothing seems to get rid of the electrical shock like feelings.

If you know how to make this better, or can offer suggestions please let me know. My quality of living sure has been compromised by whatever is going on.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, tingling can be an indication of many different disorders and needs to be evaluated of all symptoms and overall health. Since the MRI and exams have yielded no definitive results, it may be time to consult with an experienced naturopath or chiropractor. It is very important to make sure that your spinal misalignment is not a contributing factor. They should also be able to perform other types of tests that may or may not have been performed on you already, such a heavy metal toxicity test. Additionally, they can test for Lyme’s disease which exhibits nearly identical symptoms as fibromyalgia; the Qrib test may yield more reliable results in this area than do the ELISA test and the Western Blot test. These practitioners can also discuss the inclusion of various nutrients such as calcium AEP, calcium orotate, Iridodial, methylcobalamin (B-12), B-6, essential fatty acids, phospholipids, anti-oxidants, and others.

Following are a couple of online directories that may be able to help you locate either a chiropractor or naturopath in your area:
