New to Group

Postby onecollie on Fri Jul 22, 2011 10:40 am

Hi everyone, I am new to your group & new to the diagnosis of fibromyalgia.
I am on a couple of new drugs which are supposed to help me sleep,as well as stop my arms & legs from jerking during the night, they help somewhat but I find I am so dopy in the day following. I take the medication at 7pm, well before going to bed.
I drive long distances often & find myself dozing off while driving :(
I am on Mirapex & Amitriptyline, does anyone else have this problem?
I also find that I can barely get through my day as I am so tired, I just want to feel awake !!
thanks in advance
Jolene

Hi Jolene!
I am new as well and still learning. I am trying REALLY hard to stay away from medications and stick with life style changes and eating changes. So far so good but it has only been a month. I am glad to see there are other on the board that are new, hopefully we can all help each other out. My major issue is pain. I don't sleep well but I am a housewife so I can nap during the day :D

hi Erin!
nice to see you here as well :)
I am a bit disappointed though in this forum, I was so excited to see a fibromyalgia support group, but from what I can see almost all of the questions go unanswered:(
I may have to find a group that is more willing to share
cheers!!
