Rolling Eyes I know what you are going through and the frustration and pain. The frustration of not being able to do the things you used to do,not being able to walk without a cane and living in so much pain all I want to do is cry.I am on the duragesic patch 100 and take from 6-9 norco a day for pain and 4-8 flexirils 10mg and still am in so much pain I cannot function properly and want to cry all the time. It doesn't make since and everyone says that exercise helps how can I exercise if I have trouble just walking and if I do anything except the bare min. I am in more pain? see their are others out there who understand your predicament.

When my doctor put me on Vicadin and mucsle relaxers I vowed I was going to find a more natural alternative!! I found a supplement called "Fibro-Response" by Source Naturals. It's sold in health food stores. They're not cheap, but they give you all kinds of great vitamins and minerals that our bodies need even more with this condition. The unique thing that it has is malic acid. It's paired with magnesium and both are vital for the oxygenation of muscles. Another thing that I found out is that if you're not getting an uninterupted night of sleep (I wasn't getting my REM sleep at all) your body puts a whammy on you that way too! It's during your stage 4 sleep (REM) that your body repairs muscle tissue. If you don't get that sleep, your muscles will never get better!

With that said....I finally found a new doctor (he wasn't even a specialist!!) and he said that there a certain anti-depressants that help with the seratonin levels only and that a low dose of this could help me get the full night of sleep and that it may also help with the muscle pain.....BINGO!!...IT WORKED!!! So you may ask your doctor about that. I wasn't experiencing depression, just pain and fatigue and it worked wonders. Now I'm only taking about one capsule every 3 days and it's still working. I'm trying a cleansing diet now and hope to be off all meds soon. But I'll never give up my vitamins! Also, you can never get enough of your B complex vitamins....our bodies aren't functioning like they used to....and because we're in a permanent state of "flight or fight" mode, our whole digestive system is impaired. Therefore, even if we're eating right, our bodies are still not getting the nutrients we need in enough quantities.

Check it out with your doctor....sometimes you may even want to see a nutritionist.

I've had fibro. for 3 years now. It was triggered by a childhood virus called 5th disease (aka: slapcheek disease). I'm now trying a cleansing diet to see if it can help with the fatigue and pain.
