Zappy Head Tingling Face

Postby Valfab1 on Thu Mar 11, 2010 2:46 pm

I have Fibro, Arthrtitis, IBS, Intercystitial Cystitis, Throid, etc.

Recently I strted having this weird feeling in my head that I can only descruibe as electrical, kind of a zapping, zzzzzzt feeling. It would only last a few seconds and didn't happen very often so I wasn't too concerned. The other day I got it in the morning & still had it 5 hours later. Went to Dr. who said he thought I had an ear infection & vertigo. I have been on antibiotics & antivert for 4 days & am not any better. It goes away for an hour or 2 and then comes back. I also get a strange tingling feeling in my face & lips. It sounds similar to Brain Zaps or Brain Shivers that I have read people get when tapering off Effexor or other Anti Depressents. But they say it only last a few seconds. I am on Effexor but not going off it & haven't missed a dose. I really don't feel like this is Vertigo, I am not dizzy & don't feel like the room is spinning.

Does anyone have any suggestions of something else I can look into?
Thanks so much, Val, Michigan :?:

Sorry to break it to you but you most likely have a cold sore.. i just woke up today with a tingling and it turned in to a cold sore within like 20 minutes.. Go buy some abreva or you cold put some epsom salt i believe its called in water ( make sure A LOT of salt and then dip a cotton ball in there and hold it on your cold sore for a good 5-10 minutes) the salt helps dry up the cold sore. I personally put on the salt when i'm at home and then rub in the abreva when i'm going out.
