I don't think it is a con. I know of people who have used it. In fact all the photo agencies have this offer and their hope is you are so impressed with the results that you want to buy the photographs. What they give you is one print out of a photo, not the digital version and it's copyrighted to them so you can't go using it for anything other than private purposes. If you pay more then you can get the digital versions and the copyright. It's all good fun, I had it done at a different studio but in my case the photographer was really nice and gave me everything for free. (that doesn't usually happen) The make up session and photography session is free though and it's up to you what you want to pay for afterwards.
